Pal-Arinsal
Plan the trip
Two linked sectors above La Massana in Andorra, joined by a cable car across the valley. It is the smaller and more relaxed of the Andorran areas and has always been the one families and beginners are pointed towards. Pal is wooded and sheltered, which matters on a windy day, while Arinsal is more open and holds the steeper runs. The ski schools here are well used to English speakers and the learning areas are properly separated from through traffic.
La Massana below has a working Andorran life and prices lower than the resorts higher up the valley, and Andorra la Vella with the Caldea thermal complex is twenty minutes away. The duty free shopping makes a real difference to what the week costs.
