Sunlight Mountain Resort

Plan the trip
A small mountain above Glenwood Springs in Colorado with only three lifts, one of the lowest ticket prices in the state and a steep pitch called the Heathen that locals are proud of.
The terrain is a good spread with gentle learning ground, comfortable intermediate cruising and a genuinely steep section, and the mountain is almost never busy.
Glenwood Springs below is the real attraction. It has the largest hot springs pool in the world, a historic hotel and a proper main street, and the combination of a cheap day on the hill and an evening in the pool is hard to beat. Aspen is forty minutes away for a day if you want the contrast. Denver is around three hours.
