Nauders Bergkastel

Plan the trip
A village at the Reschen pass in the far west of Tyrol, where Austria, Italy and Switzerland meet within a few kilometres of each other. That position gives it three cultures within a short drive and a lift pass shared with resorts on the Italian side. The skiing is high, sunny and mostly intermediate, with a good snow record thanks to the altitude and long descents back to the village. Bergkastel is the main sector and the runs there are wide and well groomed. Nauders itself is a working village rather than a resort, with guesthouses and family hotels at prices below the famous Tyrolean names. The Reschensee just over the Italian border, with the church tower standing out of the water, is the outing everyone does.
