Plan the trip

A compact resort in the Hautes Alpes at the edge of the Écrins national park, with the runs climbing from 1400 to over 2700 metres, which gives it a vertical drop out of proportion to its size. The skiing is wooded lower down and open above, mostly intermediate with steeper terrain up high, and it has a strong following among people who want a quiet week without paying Tarentaise prices. The resort is built on two levels, with 1600 being the more pleasant place to stay, and most beds are on the snow. Briançon is around forty minutes away, and the Écrins is protected wilderness with serious ski touring in it.
