Vestland, Norway
Eikedalen
Plan the trip
A ski area in the mountains between Bergen and Voss, around an hour from Bergen, and the main hill for that city. The terrain is a good spread with a decent vertical for western Norway, and the season here can be long when the weather cooperates. Recent seasons have run to around eighty opening days.
The western Norwegian coast brings a great deal of precipitation, which means plenty of snow on the tops and variable conditions lower down, so it is worth checking the report before setting out. There is no village. Most people drive up from Bergen or Norheimsund for the day, and the Hardanger fjord is close by.
