Vestfold og Telemark, Norway
Gautefall

Plan the trip
A ski area in Drangedal in Telemark, around two hours from both Oslo and Kristiansand, and one of the more established family destinations in southern Norway. The terrain is gentle with a good learning area, and everything is laid out so that families can spend the day in the slope without much organising. There is a substantial amount of ski in and ski out accommodation in lodges and apartments, plus a cross country network through the surrounding forest. The area sits low, so the season depends on the winter, and snowmaking covers the main runs.
