Kongsberg Skisenter

Plan the trip
The ski centre at Kongsberg, around an hour and a half from Oslo, in a town with one of the strongest skiing traditions in Norway. The Kongsberg skiers dominated jumping and combined for decades. The terrain is modest with nine lifts and a spread of runs suited to families and improvers, and the area operates year round with a bike lift, disc golf and a gravity car track in summer. Kongsberg itself is a silver mining town with a baroque church, a mining museum and mine tours that go deep underground. The town is on the railway line from Oslo, which makes it straightforward without a car.
