Plan the trip

On Vancouver Island in British Columbia, above the Comox valley, and one of the snowiest places in Canada. The snowpack here is measured in metres and the resort has held Canadian records for depth.

The terrain is broad and mostly intermediate with good tree skiing and a large amount of gentle ground, and there is a substantial Nordic network alongside.

The snow is coastal and heavy, and the mountain sits low, so conditions vary with the weather more than in the interior. When it is good it is very good.

Courtenay in the valley below is the base, and the island setting means you can be on a beach an hour after skiing.
