Mt Seymour

Plan the trip
One of the three mountains that sit directly above Vancouver, reached in about forty minutes from downtown, with the city and the harbour laid out below you while you ski. That view is genuinely unusual. It is the most relaxed and least commercial of the three North Shore mountains, family run in feel, with a good learning area and a strong following among people who ski after work. Night skiing runs most of the week. The snow is coastal and heavy and the mountain sits low, so conditions vary with the weather more than at the interior resorts. There is also an extensive snowshoe and tobogganing area, and the provincial park behind it is popular backcountry terrain.
