Sainte-Foy Tarentaise

Plan the trip
A small resort between the giants of the Tarentaise, with six lifts and a reputation among people who ski off piste that is out of all proportion to its size.
The lift served terrain is modest and mostly intermediate, but the off piste from the top lift is what draws people, with long descents through larch forest that hold powder for days after a storm because so few people are here. Guides are easy to arrange in the village and worth using.
The village is built in stone and wood in traditional Savoyard style, quiet and small, with chalets and a handful of hotels. Tignes, Val d'Isère and Les Arcs are all within half an hour, so a big mountain day is always available if you want one.
