A cross border area above Oberstdorf in the Bavarian Allgäu, with the Fellhorn on the German side and the Kanzelwand across the frontier in the Kleinwalsertal in Austria, joined at the top so you ski between two countries through the day.

The terrain is wide and sunny and mainly intermediate with a good vertical and long descents on both sides. The Fellhorn is known for the alpine roses that cover it in summer and for the view across to the Allgäu peaks. Oberstdorf is a substantial town with a railway station, ski jumps that host the Four Hills Tournament every New Year, and a good food scene. It works very well without a car. Munich is around two hours away by train.
