Plan the trip

A family mountain above Klösterle in the Klostertal, on the road towards the Arlberg, reached by an eight seat gondola from the valley floor. It sits in almost untouched country and the summit restaurant at close to 2000 metres has a terrace built for the view.

The skiing is quiet and sunny and mostly intermediate, with wide well groomed runs and a long descent back to the valley station. It is a great deal cheaper than St Anton twenty minutes up the road and a great deal emptier.

There is a children's adventure area at the top called Bärenland, built around the story of the last bears in Vorarlberg, and it is the reason many families come back. Guesthouses in the valley are inexpensive, and the Arlberg is close enough for a day when you want a bigger mountain.
