Austria
Brandnertal – Brand/Bürserberg

Plan the trip
A quiet Vorarlberg valley between Bludenz and the Rätikon peaks, with the villages of Brand and Bürserberg sharing one area. The skiing is sunny and largely intermediate with a good vertical and a long descent back to the valley, and it stays noticeably calmer than the Arlberg half an hour away. There are good learning areas and family facilities.
Brand is a working village at the head of the valley beneath the Schesaplana, and the Lünersee above it is one of the more striking mountain lakes in Austria. Prices are moderate for Vorarlberg, and Bludenz below has a railway station on the Arlberg line.
