Vassfjellet

Plan the trip
The ski area for Trondheim, around twenty minutes south of the city, and described locally as the whole town's refuge.
The terrain is a good spread with a chairlift, a learning area and a decent vertical for a city hill, and floodlit evening skiing is heavily used through the dark months.
The mountain also runs a bike park in summer, which keeps it open year round.
Trondheim is a substantial city with a cathedral, a university and a good food scene, and staying there rather than at the hill is the obvious choice.
