The Olympic downhill mountain from Lillehammer 1994, designed by Bernhard Russi, and still a World Cup venue every year. The course is open to the public most of the season and skiing it is the reason many people come. The terrain is steeper and more serious than most Norwegian hills, with a long sustained pitch and a good vertical, and it suits confident skiers well. There is a gentler family area on the western side.

It is around fifteen minutes from Hafjell and on the same pass, so the two together make a varied week. Lillehammer is half an hour away with its museums and pedestrian street. Accommodation is mostly cabins and apartments spread across the hillside, and Oslo is around two and a half hours by road or train.
