The ski centre at Gol in Hallingdal, on the mountain above the village, with a family lift and a spread of runs suited to beginners and improvers.

The vertical is modest and the terrain is straightforward, which makes it a good place for a first week or for families with young children.

Gol sits on the Bergen railway between Oslo and Bergen and on the main road through Hallingdal, so it is easy to reach without a car, and the bigger Hallingdal areas at Hemsedal and Geilo are both within half an hour. The surrounding high country has an extensive cross country network.
