Ål Skisenter
Plan the trip
The Svarteberg course is why Norwegian racers know Ål. It is one of the best giant slalom pistes in the country and both the men's and women's national teams have used it regularly over the years.
At the same time Ål has one of the best beginner slopes in Hallingdal, with a free lift in the children's area. That combination is unusual in a hill this size. Snowmaking secures 13 kilometres of prepared piste through the whole season and the vertical is over 450 metres.
It sits in the middle of Hallingdal with floodlit evening skiing through the winter, open every weekend and all week through the February holidays and at Easter.
