A mountain area in Gausdal in eastern Norway, around half an hour from Lillehammer, and one of the more established Norwegian destinations for families. The terrain is gentle and open with good learning areas, and the vertical is modest, which suits the audience it serves. Cross country is at least as much of the point, with an extensive network across the surrounding fells and a strong tradition of it in this valley.

Oslo is around two and a half hours away by road. Accommodation is cabins, apartments and a couple of hotels, and the whole area is quiet in the evening.
