Plan the trip

Easy to reach. Fifty minutes from Turin by motorway, an international TGV station in town, an hour by train from Turin and two from Milan, and an hour from the airport. Few places in the Alps sit this well for a long weekend without a car.

It is a proper Piedmont mountain town rather than a resort with houses attached, and it held the snowboard events at the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006. The lift pass reaches into the Vialattea, which runs on towards Sestriere and across into France. Campo Smith sits right in town, so the distance between breakfast and the first lift is short.
