Plan the trip

A mountain in northern Vermont between Burlington and Stowe, higher than most of its neighbours, which gives it a better natural snow record than the vertical suggests.

The terrain is a good spread with excellent glade skiing, and Bolton has a strong following among backcountry skiers because of an extensive uphill and touring network from the same base.

Night skiing runs several evenings a week, which is unusual in Vermont and heavily used by the Burlington crowd.

The resort is small and unpolished with lodging at the base. Burlington is around half an hour away.
