The most snow in the eastern United States, by a considerable margin, on a peak in northern Vermont that catches storms coming down from Quebec. Locals call it the Jay cloud.

The terrain is steep and heavily gladed, and the tree skiing here has a following that treats it as the best in the east. Beginners have a decent area but the mountain is really built for people who can ski.

An aerial tram runs to the summit. The Canadian border is a few kilometres away and a large share of the visitors are from Quebec.

There is an indoor water park and an ice rink at the base, which makes it more of a family destination than the terrain alone would suggest.
