Plan the trip

A community owned mountain in the far southwest of Alberta, near the Crowsnest Pass, and one of the least developed resorts in the Canadian Rockies. It exists because local skiers bought it and kept it running. The terrain is steep and largely ungroomed, with open bowls, chutes and glades and a snowpack helped by storms funnelling through the pass. There is a snowcat operation for terrain beyond the lifts.

There is very little at the base, a hostel and some lodging and not much else, and Pincher Creek is the nearest town. Calgary is around two and a half hours away. Prices are low, queues do not exist, and the atmosphere is entirely unpolished. A mountain for people who came to ski.
