A sunny area above Oetz at the entrance to the Ötztal, facing south across the valley, which makes it one of the brighter mountains in Tyrol and a good choice when the weather is cold.

The terrain is wide and chiefly intermediate with a strong beginner area and a well regarded children's zone, and the lift pass can be extended to cover Kühtai over the ridge for a bigger week.

It is close enough to Innsbruck for a day trip and far enough up the Ötztal that Sölden and the glaciers are within easy reach. Oetz village at the bottom is a working Tyrolean settlement with painted houses and a Baroque church, and prices sit well below the resorts further up the valley.
