Plan the trip

A small, unpretentious resort above La Morte, less than an hour from Grenoble, with a big vertical drop for its size and a devoted local following. It has been through difficult times and reopened through the determination of the community around it, which tells you something about how much the place means locally.

The skiing is varied and steeper than the size suggests, with wooded lower slopes and open terrain up high, and it has long been used as a training ground by skiers from the city.

Prices are low, the queues are short, and the surrounding Matheysine plateau has cross country trails and snowshoe routes. A place for people who would rather ski somewhere real than somewhere famous.
