Villard de Lans - Corrençon

Plan the trip
A resort in the Vercors, the limestone plateau above Grenoble, in a landscape of cliffs and forest that looks nothing like the high Alps an hour away. The skiing is wooded and mostly gentle, well suited to families and improvers, and there is one of the largest cross country networks in France on the plateau above. That combination makes it a good choice for a mixed group.
Villard de Lans is a working town with shops, a market and a life outside the season, and Corrençon at the other end is quieter and prettier. The Vercors was a centre of the wartime resistance and there are memorials and a museum. Grenoble is around forty minutes away.
