A mountain on the Continental Divide where Montana meets Idaho, with over 300 inches of snow a year and a following that treats it as one of the last genuinely undiscovered places in the northern Rockies. There are 69 runs served by five double chairs and three rope tows, with 550 metres of vertical and a longest run of two kilometres. Nothing about the lift system is modern and that is part of the appeal. Powder Thursday is a local institution, because the mountain is closed Monday to Wednesday and the snow accumulates. The nearest towns are small. Missoula is around two hours away and Salmon in Idaho about an hour.
