Brundage Mountain

Plan the trip

A mountain in west central Idaho above McCall with a reputation for the best snow in the state, helped by a position that catches storms coming in off the Pacific.

The terrain is broad with long groomed descents and excellent tree skiing, and there is a large snowcat operation on the back side that opens terrain well beyond the lifts. The view across Payette Lake from the runs is the thing people remember.

There is very little at the base. McCall down the hill is a lake town with restaurants and hot springs nearby, and it makes a comfortable base. Boise is around two hours away. Crowds are light and prices are moderate.
