Italy
Ski Area San Pellegrino - Falcade

Plan the trip
A quiet Dolomite pass between Trentino and the Veneto, with Falcade and Moena in the valleys either side. It is small, Italian and family run, and a long way from the crowds on the Sella circuit, though the same Dolomiti Superski pass covers both. The skiing is wide and well groomed with excellent snowmaking, good beginner areas, and enough steeper terrain to keep confident skiers busy for a few days. Col Margherita at the top gives one of the better views in the range. The Marmolada glacier is within reach on the same pass and worth a day for the view down onto the ice. Family hotels with half board are a genuine part of the value here, at moderate Dolomite prices, though the best food is usually on the mountain at lunchtime.
