A ski area on the Costalunga pass in South Tyrol beneath the Latemar and facing the Rosengarten, two of the most striking rock walls in the Dolomites. The terrain is mostly intermediate with wide well groomed runs and a good beginner area, and it is part of Dolomiti Superski while sitting well away from the busy Sella circuit. The Karersee below, a small lake that reflects the Latemar, is among the most photographed places in the Alps. The area has made a point of environmental certification and quiet family skiing. Bolzano is around forty minutes away.
