Splügen-Tambo
Plan the trip
A small area in Graubünden at the foot of the Splügen pass, where winter is still winter, as the resort puts it, meaning natural snow and no crowds. The terrain runs from the village up to over 2200 metres with a good vertical and mostly intermediate skiing, and the mountain has a following among people who prefer quiet to variety. Splügen village is a protected settlement of old Walser houses and is among the more attractive in the canton. The season runs from mid December to Easter with some early weekends if conditions allow. Chur is around forty five minutes away.
