Welch Village

Plan the trip
A ski area in the Cannon River valley in southeastern Minnesota, tucked into a wooded ravine, around an hour from Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
The vertical is modest but the layout uses the valley well, with runs on several faces and a good spread of terrain including well built parks.
Snowmaking covers essentially everything and night skiing runs most of the week.
The setting in a wooded valley is more attractive than most Midwestern hills manage, and prices are moderate. Weekends fill with traffic from the cities.
