Ax 3 Domaines

Plan the trip
Three sectors called Bonascre, Saquet and Les Campels, above the spa town of Ax les Thermes in the Ariège Pyrenees. Big enough to hold you for a week, and a place that has kept a plain and unpolished tone about it.
You can get here by train. Skirail is an arrangement between the resort, the Occitanie region and SNCF that puts the fare from Toulouse and the lift pass in one package, and the cable car leaves from beside the station. Few French resorts make the car this unnecessary.
There are three ski schools at the foot of the slopes and a snowpark above. The country around is still largely undeveloped, which is much of the appeal.
