Boreal Mountain Resort

Plan the trip
A compact area right on the Donner Pass at Lake Tahoe, and the first thing you reach coming up from Sacramento, which makes it the traditional first stop of the California season. It usually opens before its neighbours.
Boreal has always been a park mountain. The terrain parks are extensive and well built and the place has a young following because of it. Woodward Tahoe next door is an indoor training centre with foam pits and trampolines that runs year round.
Night skiing runs several evenings a week. There is no village and very little lodging, so most people drive up for the day or stay in Truckee twenty minutes away. Prices are among the lowest at Tahoe.
