The highest ski area in Utah by base elevation, at nearly 3000 metres in the southern part of the state, which is what allows skiing this far south. The terrain is spread across two mountains with a good deal of gentle ground and a well protected learning area, and the snowfall is substantial for the latitude.

It is a long way from the Wasatch resorts and has a completely different feel, quieter and cheaper and used mostly by people from Las Vegas and southern Utah. Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon are both close by, and Zion is around two hours away, which makes for an unusual combination of skiing and desert canyon country.
