Plan the trip

A mountain at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Utah, less than an hour from Salt Lake City, and the place where a great many locals learned to ski.

Every lift reaches terrain of all levels, which is unusual and useful, and there is a great deal of tree skiing and open bowl terrain accessible directly from the chairs. The snow is the light dry Utah kind.

Brighton runs one of the largest night skiing operations in the region, with a substantial part of the mountain floodlit several evenings a week. It is unpretentious with very little development at the base, and it has always welcomed snowboarders, unlike its neighbours in the next canyon.
