Cauterets Cirque du Lys

Plan the trip
A resort in the central French Pyrenees above the spa town of Cauterets, reached by cable car from the middle of town, in a natural amphitheatre of peaks.
The terrain sits high in a bowl at over 2400 metres with a good snow record for the range, and the skiing is mostly intermediate with wide open ground.
Cauterets is a nineteenth century thermal town with grand facades and baths that are still in use, and it has a life outside the ski season.
The Pyrenees national park begins right above, and the Pont d'Espagne nearby is one of the best known walking areas in the range. Lourdes is around forty minutes away.
