Gérardmer

Plan the trip
The best known resort in the Vosges, above the lake of the same name in eastern France, and one of the oldest ski areas in the country with a tourist office dating from 1875.
The terrain is wooded and mostly gentle with a good number of lifts for the size of the hill, thorough snowmaking and night skiing.
Gérardmer is a real town with a lakeside setting, a strong textile history and a food tradition that mixes French and Alsatian influences.
Prices are among the lowest in France and the crowds are entirely regional. Strasbourg and Nancy are both within a couple of hours.
