A small resort in the Jura at the Col de la Faucille, less than half an hour from Geneva, with a view across the lake to Mont Blanc that is the best known thing about the place. The terrain is wooded and mostly gentle with a modest vertical, and the area suits families and beginners rather than people looking for a challenge. The Jura around it has one of the largest cross country networks in Europe, and that is at least as much of the reason to come. Prices are low and the crowds are largely local. Geneva airport is remarkably close.
