Mount Sunapee

Plan the trip
A state owned mountain in southwestern New Hampshire, leased to a resort operator, in a state park on the shore of Lake Sunapee.
The terrain is a good spread with gentle learning ground, comfortable intermediate cruising and a steeper section on the north face, and grooming and snowmaking are thorough.
The view across the lake from the upper runs is the memorable part, and the state park below has a beach that is busy in summer. Boston is around two hours away, which makes it a straightforward weekend, and prices sit below the larger Vermont resorts.
