Pizol

Plan the trip
A sunny mountain above the Rhine valley in eastern Switzerland, reached by cable car from Wangs or Bad Ragaz, and best known for the five lakes walk that crosses it in summer.
The skiing runs from close to 2200 metres down a long vertical drop of over 1700 metres to the valley floor, which is a substantial descent for an area of this size. The terrain is mostly intermediate with wide well groomed runs and views out over the valley the whole way down.
Bad Ragaz at the foot is a thermal spa town of some standing, with water that has drawn visitors since the middle ages, and that combination of a full day on the mountain and an evening in the baths is the reason many people come. Zurich is around an hour away, so weekends fill and midweek stays calm.
