Wildhaus

Plan the trip
A resort in the Toggenburg in eastern Switzerland, set between the Churfirsten ridge and the Säntis massif, and one of the easiest mountains in the country to reach from Zurich. The area was rebuilt around a modern six seat chairlift from Oberdorf up to the Freienalp, and the pistes are well groomed and suited to families, beginners and intermediates alike.
The Toggenburg is quieter and less expensive than the Graubünden resorts, and the landscape here is limestone rather than granite, which gives it a quite different look. The sound trail along the Klangweg on the neighbouring mountain is a well known summer walk, and the whole valley has a settled Swiss rural life going on around the tourism.
