Skiregion Dachstein West

Plan the trip
A large area on the western side of the Dachstein massif, spread across Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg in the Salzkammergut, and part of the Ski amadé pass.
The terrain is wide and mostly intermediate with plenty of easy runs and a long descent between sectors, and it stays quieter than the better known Salzburg areas.
Gosau below sits beside one of the most photographed lakes in Austria, with the Dachstein glacier reflected in it, and Hallstatt is half an hour away. The Salzkammergut is lake country with a strong local culture, and prices here are moderate. Salzburg is an hour or so away.
