A village in the Salzburger Sportwelt linked by lift to Wagrain and Zauchensee, and part of the Ski amadé pass, which is one of the largest single lift tickets in Europe. The terrain is wide and sunny and mostly intermediate with excellent grooming, and there is a night slalom on the Hermann Maier course, named after the local skier who grew up here and remains the village's best known son.

The area is well set up for families with good learning ground and a large ski school. Salzburg sits an hour away, which makes transfers straightforward, and the motorway runs close by.
