Plan the trip
A busy Pennsylvania mountain in the Lehigh valley with the highest vertical in the state, which is not saying a great deal but does make it more interesting than its neighbours.
There is a genuine steep section on the front face alongside a large amount of gentle terrain, extensive snowmaking and floodlighting on most of the hill. The terrain parks are well built.
Philadelphia is around ninety minutes away and New York about two hours, so weekends fill and midweek stays calm.
There is lodging nearby rather than at the base, and the surrounding Lehigh valley has plenty of options at moderate prices.
