Kasberg Grünau - Almtal

Plan the trip
A ski area above Grünau im Almtal in Upper Austria, in the Salzkammergut lake district, with a cable car climbing from the valley to around 1600 metres.
The terrain is modest and mostly intermediate with a long descent back to the valley and a good learning area, and the mountain is quiet.
The Almtal below is a valley of lakes and limestone walls with a wildlife park and the Almsee at its head, and it is one of the less visited corners of the Salzkammergut. Linz is roughly an hour away and Salzburg about the same. Prices are low.
