A high plateau in Styria above Bad Mitterndorf, with lakes scattered across it and a ski area that spreads over open ground rather than down a single mountainside. The terrain is wide and largely intermediate with a good snow record, and the plateau setting means you cover ground rather than lap the same pitch.

Bad Mitterndorf below is a spa town with thermal baths, and the Kulm ski flying hill nearby is one of the largest in the world and holds events every few years. The Ausseerland region around it is lake and mountain country with a strong local identity. Salzburg is around an hour and a half away.
