Kreischberg

Plan the trip
A mountain in western Styria with a long standing reputation for freestyle. It has hosted Snowboard and Freestyle World Championships and the parks here are among the best equipped in Austria. The rest of the terrain is wide and sunny and mostly intermediate, running from the valley up to over 2100 metres, with a long descent back down and a good snow record for the region.
The area sits in the Murau district, a quiet part of Styria known for its beer and its narrow gauge railway. Prices are moderate and the crowds are largely domestic. Salzburg is around an hour and a half away.
